We Don’t Just Dress Walls; We Craft Living Stories: Sanjana Bhajanka, Co-Founder, Kasa Prive Wallpapers

At THE WADE ASIA 2025, held at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, from August 21 to August 24, 2025, Sanjana Bhajanka, Co-Founder, Kasa Prive Wallpapers, took the centre stage during the Brand Presentation series under Material Review, representing the brand that has reimagined the way walls speak in Indian homes and interiors. Bhajanka started by sharing a personal insight that became the foundation of her brand. “Walls have never just been walls for me. They've always been blank canvases waiting to tell a story,” she said, as her idea of home began not with furniture or decor but with the walls that surround one’s life. Know more about it on SURFACES REPORTER (SR).

Creative vision

For Bhajanka, the story of Kasa Prive came to life in the most personal way possible. When she became a mother, she began searching for wallpapers for her children’s room. She started looking for something imaginative, inspiring and joyful. To her surprise, the choices were limited, and many felt uninspired. That moment sparked a thought, “Our children deserve better. They deserve walls that spark imagination. Walls that feel like their own.” What began as an emotional pursuit born of love and frustration soon evolved into a full-fledged design vision. That was how Kasa Prive Wallpapers was born.

Today, Kasa Prive stands as a luxury bespoke wallpaper brand that approaches design not as decor but as emotion. Every wall design emerges from a heartfelt creative process rooted in storytelling. “Whether it’s a dreamy nursery, a sophisticated lounge, a hotel lobby or a cozy corner at home, we don’t believe in the idea of a one size fits all aesthetic. We believe in tailoring every wall to the people who live in it. Every wall tells your story, and every wall sparks your personality,” she emphasized.

Artistic approach to walls

What sets Kasa Prive apart, she noted, is its spirit of collaboration. “We don’t just create wallpapers. We co-create spaces with architects and designers.” The aim is to tailor every detail to achieve harmony between concept and personality. Right from, colour palettes and scale to texture and finishes, everything is customized until it feels just right. And the journey doesn’t stop at design delivery, rather it continues until the final seamless installation. Through this process, each wall becomes part of an experience rather than a background. Bhajanka described how bespoke design transforms environments. “Imagine a nursery where walls turn into magical jungles, a lounge that whispers luxury through every texture, or a restaurant that becomes an Instagram sensation because the walls themselves set the scene.” This ability to create immersive experiences has become the hallmark of Kasa Prive’s work.

To illustrate the brand’s creative journey, Bhajanka highlighted five of their most treasured projects. Their very first project, a black-and-white nursery with soft pastel accents from the Monochrome Series, marked a turning point for the brand. Seven playful monochrome animal motifs were hand-drawn, mounted on wooden squares, and carefully composed to create the dreamlike world of a child’s imagination. The second project, designed for a villa living room in Alibaug, brought the outdoors inside through a lush jungle theme with dense trees that bridged nature and luxury seamlessly.

Another remarkable project came to life in a young boy’s lounge, where the team turned personal memories into art through a black-and-white photo collage wallpaper. This captivating wall told a family’s story and became a fusion of nostalgia and design boldness. She also spoke of a project that captured the imagination of a one-and-a-half-year-old child, where a playroom was brought to life through playful animals picnicking and peeking from tents, turning the space into an enchanted forest of joy. Her final example hinted a work-in-progress masterpiece that pushed creative limits. The brief asked for blueprints of World War II airplanes with a playful interpretation for a child’s room. It was a challenge that took numerous sketches and revisions before the right balance was achieved.

Bhajanka concluded with a reflection on what Kasa Prive truly embodies. It is the belief that walls can hold emotion, memory and imagination when approached with heart and artistry. “At Kasa Prive Wallpapers, we don’t just dress walls; we craft living stories,” she concluded.
