At BLUORNG’s Gurugram flagship, Metanoia Designs conceived a cavelike material landscape. Developed as a refinement of earlier iterations, the store discards orthogonal minimalism in favour of a fluid, sculpted envelope shaped through digital modelling and extrusion techniques.
Undulating micro-concrete walls form the primary surface condition, carved into recesses that double as product displays. The continuous monolithic finish eliminates visual clutter while reinforcing spatial organisation. Exposed structural steel accentuates the softened mass, most notably in a sculptural central column that anchors the volume both structurally and visually.
Lighting is embedded within stretch-fabric elements and concealed crevices, allowing illumination to run through the concrete skin and heighten the hollow atmosphere. The subdued palette -- micro-concrete, raw steel and tensile fabric -- prioritises durability, construction efficiency and repeatable precision, refined through multiple store rollouts. A beaten-steel installation of the BLUORNG logo, developed with Delhi-based duo Nitush-Aroosh, introduces a crafted metallic counterpoint to the muted shell. Executed within tight budgetary constraints, the project relies on meticulous formwork, junction detailing and on-site craftsmanship.

Metanoia Designs LLP is a New Delhibased architecture and interior design studio founded in 2019 by Prakhar Jain and Shivangi Sharma, working across retail, residential and experiential projects. Rooted in research and contextual thinking, the practice treats inquiry as central to design. Prakhar, a post-graduate of the Architectural Association, London, approaches context as the genesis of ideas, while Shivangi, trained at Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University and formerly with Ar Sanjay Prakash, brings expertise in sustainability and complex systems, shaping restrained, enduring, brand-conscious environments.
