In recent years, there has been a growing emphasis on supporting brands that prioritize sustainability and incorporate practices like upcycling and recycling into their production processes. Recognizing the importance of responsible consumption, Ikea is making strides to win over eco-conscious consumers with its latest lifestyle line crafted from materials sourced from within its own ranks. The Swedish furniture giant is set to unveil its newest collection, dubbed VAXELBRUK, which boasts a unique origin story. The collection is crafted from recycled coworker uniforms that were slated for disposal when Ikea introduced new attire in 2020. Instead of discarding these garments, Ikea innovatively repurposed them into new products, diverting a staggering 300 tonnes of material from ending up in landfills.
