India's home decor market currently stands at around $75 mn. However, being highly fragmented, it is difficult for professionals to look and sample a lot of building materials. The concept known as 'Sample Store on Wheels' is an innovative idea brought forward by Mistry.Store, a marketplace for home building products. In this, a truck would deliever samples of building materials to the offices of specialists involved in home construction, including architects, interior designers, and builders. The van would include a variety of samples from more than 75 firms. The move will save a lot of time and the decision-making can become super easier.
Currently, the van will focus on bringing samples from around 8 categories which is expandable in the later time. The professionals must reserve a time slot through the centralised hotline number +91 80708 80707 at their leisure in order to obtain a sampling vehicle. The sampling vehicle is currently free to reserve, according to the business.
Vaibhav Poddar, Co-Founder, Mistry.Store says, "In line with our promise of simplifying building material purchases, we have launched this concept of a sampling van to make it easier for professionals to check and suggest products for their ongoing projects in and around the Delhi NCR region. In this phase the van will focus on core categories like boards and laminates, electricals and lights, sanitary and plumbing, hardware and plywood and will keep extending its categories."
