Designed by Shruti Vyas and her creative design team, this Gujarat home is peppered with plenty of colours, luxe finishes and lavish textures that will instantly make you fall in love with it. The client, a young builder, having a strong liking for the use of colours, especially yellows, wanted the firm to use colours judiciously. Vyas shares more details about her latest project with SURFACES REPORTER (SR). Read on:
Located in Rajkot, Gujarat and spread over 3000 sq ft, the home allows its residents to enjoy ample spaces and clean finishes.
Handmade Tiles and Kota Stone on Terrace
While the entire apartment has travertine marble as its flooring, the terraces have handmade coloured tiles and Kota stone. No false ceiling is done in the apartment; the slab is buffed neatly and remains exposed.
“The layout offered us two open terraces, four spacious bedrooms and a large living area connected visually with the dining and kitchen. While the living area opens out to one terrace area consisting of a large sitting space and a privately tucked Jacuzzi.
The dining area opens out to another terrace done completely in yellow, shares Vyas.
Neutral Tones Counterbalance Rich Pastel Hues
Pastel tones of green, peach and yellow are set off with neutral tones of cream and beige balancing the play of lights and colours.
A young and pleasant vibe is maintained throughout the apartment with the help of custom-made furniture and the playful addition of colours.
