Further, it travels at the speed of 1 meter per second. The project is properly tested from the most optimum people flow analysis, with optimum quality and safety aspects built-in. This wonder lift is supported by 18 pulleys and 9 ropes for safety.

Idea behind the project

The main idea behind this amazing project was the vision to build a monument in Mumbai that could be commemorated at the national level. And the latest architectural marble played its role nicely by creating JWC, Mumbai and India the point of conversation across the world.

It took almost 6 years for the firm to create this 200 pax lift, but after the incessant hard work of the team, now the world-class project has become a focal point of the Jio World Centre in Mumbai. Spread over 18.5 acres of land, Jio World Center in BKC Mumbai houses around 188 elevators entirely on the complex- all are developed by Kone. And each of the elevators is a masterpiece in its own right.

Amit Gossain, Managing Director, KONE Elevators, says, "The machine that powers the elevator is bigger than the elevator itself". And the unique thing about this machine is that it is fitted at the bottom of the lift, unlike the usual top fixtures.

Tastefully done interiors

The interiors of the lift are delightfully done with a smooth finish. It carries a lotus theme that is central to the Jio World Centre décor. A big oranted crystal-studded light adore the interiors of this beautiful lift that captures everyone's attention.
