IPL Cricketer Surya Kumar Yadavs Mumbai Home

IPL Cricketer Surya Kumar Yadavs Mumbai Home by AMA

It took only 2 months and 15 days to Anish Motwani Associates for designing a home that is elegant, bright, and warm for the IPL cricketer - Mr. Surya Kumar Yadav. This Mumbai residency features an expansive living-dining space, two lavish bedrooms and a gaming room.

The Dining Room | The Bar is Highlighted by using acrylic red colour along with the lights.

The project work started soon after the firm received design directions from the client Mr. Surya Kumar Yadav (Cricketer) & his better-half Mrs. Devisha Shetty Yadav.

Minimalism At Its Finest

The interior design firm aimed at minimalist design while adding colours for elegance. Each room holds a unique touch of simplicity with sophistication. While entering, you may notice the different hues in each room that interact in different ways.

The Guest Room

A Giant Cricket Bat

It is a home that truly reflects the personality of its inhabitant. The creativity of the firm can be seen from the main entrance that showcases a 7 feet long Cricket BAT on the wall to give a memorable & a lasting impression to the owner as well as the guests. What makes it more impressive is the beautiful presentation of the balls ,a memorabilia of the mateches the client had played at the stadium.

The Main Entrance

Anish Motwani’s imagination to create the distinctive main area enticed the client. And it was Artist Parag Deshmukh who converted the designer’s idea into reality.

Blue and The Splashes of Yellow

The living room gives a young and energetic appearance with blue sofa, lead pattern centre & side tables accompanied by long yellow chairs and a blue-white dining table.

The Living Area

Cheerful, Breezy Vibes in the Gaming and Entertainment Room

One room is entirely dedicated to gaming and entertainment. To make it cool & exciting, a few fun elements like a custom wallpaper which shows Delhis Ferozshah Kotla Stadium in the background with an emoji of the client in the centre have been added.

Third bedroom which is made to multi-utility room

Design Intricacies

Hexagonal patterns have been used with overlay work on the Irish Brown Italian marble sourced from "La Italia Marbles" at Vikroli. Similar design & patterns have been repeated in the rooms and doors. The beige Italian marble flooring is beautifully and flawlessly contrasted with the colours to make it stand out.

To add elegance and warmth, veneers were used in the living room and room doors sourced from "Veneer SPOT" at Vile Parle.

The firm adopted a golden mirror on the crockery unit sourced from "LA ITALIA Marble at Vikroli". Mango Onyx on crockery unit adds uniqueness to it. Brown mirror has been used with room doors and ceilings. The translucency of onyx stone encouraged the designers to use this.

The designers have made use of decorative lights, which were obtained from various showrooms. The firm has also used LED lights to enhance the beauty of the room. Especially from "Artemis Lighting Studio" and "Light Options" at Andheri.

The Master Bedroom - Small Balcony Outside Living Room

Materials that play a major role in interior design- curtains, roman blinds, fabric & upholstery- sourced from "Daffodils" at Chembur.

To ensure safety, the firm has used the YALE Locks in the main doors which use biometric biometric, number code as well as keys. So, its hassle-free for the client as they dont need to carry keys whenever they step out.
