Italian architect and designer Massimo Iosa Ghini has recently designed Double Kalos, a double basin with mirror for Devon&Devon by wonderfully duplicating and merging the single Kalos.
The design of Double Kalos has got inspiration from the theme of the couple. It meticulously joins two different Kalos basins (previewed at Cersaie 2019). The circular mirrors of it also unifying to create a spanking new stable form. The large double mirror which is following the contour of the basins is mounted directly on the wall. It allows proper and optimal cleaning and maintenance.
Massimo Iosa Ghini describes Double Kalos as “it is a particularly effective example of how to translate functionality into beauty. The harmony of its design was possible also thanks to the ability of Devon&Devon to use innovative materials that are particularly suitable for complex projects”.
Double Kalos, is rendered in white Tec -a composite material, which is exclusively designed and formed for Devon&Devon in order to assure the highest impact resistance and compliance with the sustainability and finest quality standards.
The striking Kalos collection reflects the observation of the botanical world. The appealing column-mounted basins resemble the formation of flower petals, which seems as attracting dewdrops towards the centre.
There is also an option of backlighting in the mirror with LED light sources. This also highlights the uniqueness of the design.
