In Orientbell, in line with directives from various local administrations/govts, we have allowed our employees to Work From Home. For anybody doing desk work, it is feasible to WFH.
However, for people operating the manufacturing lines or for meeting customers in the market, WFH concept is an opportunity to catch up on pending work as their normal routine gets significantly disrupted.
Tips for making WFH a success
1. At an individual level, it is important to have a routine. I, personally, after 1-2 cheat days, have shifted to the same gym routine, office clothes & a specific corner for work.
2. While Working From Home its key to establish a rhythm in your daily work. You need to have for any project, weekly or fortnightly check-in to stay in-sync with each other. Once you establish a rhythm, it is a smoother ride.
3. Currently people are adapting to WFH quickly. We had some of our colleagues living alone, independently. So we started as a team checking on them. And they really look forward to our virtual meetings as a way of connecting to the “Old” world again.
