Women have been an essential inspiration for luxury products for ages. Beauty is synonymous with women, they have been the natural choice for artistic pieces of luxury. However, we are witnessing a change. With men becoming increasingly conscious of style and luxury, designers around the world are coming up with mesmerizing pieces of art that suit a man’s mood, perfectly. At Salone del Mobile.Milano the #SurfacesReporter team was awed to see exquisite designs and products which showcased how men’s luxury is coming to the foreground. Ladies! We do have stiff competition!
The basic shape of the product is created using hexagonal lines. it is the symbol of prestige and refinement. Madia Makassar Ebano has a manual finish while Kame colour has a glossy one. It comes preinstalled with a drawer, a shelf, and a retractable part, that is electrically operated and has LED lighting. Available in Makassar Ebony-Eucalyptus-Indian Rosewood; in the glossy and opaque versions; Kame and Black Kame lacquered parts only in glossy and matt versions.
A sideboard that matches the aesthetics of the moon. It is polished using Black Kame lacquer for Makassar Ebano version. Meant for making billiards more amazing, it has compartments, drawers, tilting shelf, cigarbox, hi-fi sound system, multimedia system and ball bearings that are inserted into the cabinet. The side-parts are fitted with LEDs and have 6 slots and accessories for the game. The drawers are lined with premium leather and have push/pull opening. Available in Makassar Ebony-Eucalyptus-Indian Rosewood, in the glossy and matt versions, for the lacquered parts: Kame and Black Kame.
Storage unit dedicated to the world of billiards and Cigar rooms. The external finish made of glossy Makassar Ebony, gives the Moon shapes a unique elegance, the reflected light embellishes the details present in harmony with the glossy lacquered parts. Madia Moon WL20 is equipped with compartments, drawers, a Bose sound-fi sound system, a multimedia system and a sphereholder, which are inserted in the retractable area of the cabinet which is electrically operated.
The surfaces of the table is hand-finished with Makassar Ebano and Kame in glossy finish emphasised by the luminous inserts with LEDs embedded in the base. The padded rail consists of a wooden structure covered in black leather, the upper side in ebony Makassar glossy finish, black microfiber cloth and golden graphics of the Cavicchi brand, polished brass insert along the edge. It is also equipped with a glass holder in a polished brass finish, a chip rack and a black lacquer coin mechanism. Available in Makassar Ebony-Eucalyptus-Indian Rosewood, in the glossy and opaque versions.
The designs have got originally published in the Special Milan Issue of Surfaces Reporter Magazine. It is part of the 100 Designs from across the world captured at Milan Design Week 2019.
