
In a significant development within India’s paints and coatings industry, Akzo Nobel India Limited has officially been renamed JSW Dulux Limited, effective March 11, 2026. The move follows the acquisition of a majority stake by JSW Paints, a subsidiary of the JSW Group, marking a new chapter for the company. A report by SURFACES REPORTER.
As part of the transition, a fresh Certificate of Incorporation has been issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA). Additionally, the company has updated its Memorandum of Association (MoA) and Articles of Association (AoA) to reflect the new corporate identity.
Leadership Restructuring Post Acquisition
Following the rebranding, key leadership changes have been announced. Mr Parth Jindal has been appointed as the Non-Executive Chairman while Mr Rajiv Rajgopal has transitioned into the role of Joint Managing Director & CEO. These changes signal JSW Group’s strategic intent to strengthen leadership and steer the company toward accelerated growth.
Compliance and Branding Transition
In line with listing compliance requirements, the company will display its former name, Akzo Nobel India Limited, alongside the new name, JSW Dulux Limited, for a period of two years. The rebranding combines the global reputation of the Dulux brand with the diversified strength of the JSW Group, aiming to establish a stronger and more unified brand identity in the Indian market.
