Amongst a delightful gathering of “soul-sisters”, as the organizers call each member, across all trades and industries, the Editor-in-Chief of India’s first material-centric Architecture & Design Magazine, Surfaces Reporter, Vertica Dvivedi got recently honored with “Women of Excellence 2017” award at Women in Economic Forum (WEF) 2017, in Dwarka. WEF offers a compelling platform worldwide to bring together a rich confluence of inspiring women leaders from all walks of life. This year’s theme for the forum remained "Wealth and Wellness" and they had summoned successful people from different industries to grace the panel as speakers. Some were felicitated with Awards. In the session, Dvivedi spoke about the hardships she faced during her struggle both on a personal and career level before seeing the light of success and eventually emerging as a winner.

She stressed, "The path before was dark but my determination was strong. I just made a single decision that I will get up every time I fall. Pure postive intentions are far more important to start the first steps than to analyse whether the goal is achievable. People often fail because they are more stuck on 'How' than the 'Why' of the matter."

Vertica Dvivedi is also the founder of WADe India – a forum that celebrates Women-led Development by bringing together Women Architects. WADe 2017 is scheduled for October 28-29th in 2017 at Leela Ambience, Gurgaon. She is excited to steer WADe India to be WADe Asia this time with the inclusion of delegates from SAARC countries and some other South East Asian countries. A concurrent event CIAMBIZ India will be marking its presence along with WADe Asia to make the 2 days of event more meaningful.
