Vipuja Parmar is an Architect and Urban Designer. After completing her Bachelors in Architecture from CEPT University she worked under Prof. Emeritus Kulbhushan Jain. She worked on various research projects. She had the opportunity to work on Prof. K.B.Jain's book, 'Architecture Conceptual to the Manifest' as a researcher. Her exposure at AADI center under Prof. K.B.Jain inclined her to pursue Masters in Architecture. She went for a specialisation in Urban design at CEPT University. After completing her Masters in Urban Design she had worked on multiple Urban design projects with different architects. She worked with architect Falguni Desai, for Development of Tapi River Edge, Surat and architect Vijay and Meghal Arya for Kankaria Zoo Master plan and BRTS Terminal, Ahmedabad. In 2016,
Vipuja with her partner Krushnakant founded Urban Architectural Collaborative. Ualab is involved in working on Architecture, Urban design, Mass housing, Landscape design and Interior Design projects. Ualab is inclined towards vernacular space design which tries to balance the crafting and comfort of space with sensitive use of materials. At Ualab, with every design work there is a constant struggle to search for a design vocabulary that is innovative to meet the contemporary demands and hold the vernacular understanding of space design. The design work at Ualab has been greatly appreciated. Her projects have been published in National magazine and International blog. Ua lab has been awarded IIID Design Excellence Award, 2017, Zonal Winner for the project Work Studio and Residence, Ahmedabad.
Vipuja's Interior design work has also been shortlisted at WADe Asia 2019, Young WADe India Emerging Award. Her manifesto has been selected to be presented at Women in Design 2020+, curate by Hecar Foundation. Vipuja is also involved with academics and is a visiting faculty at CEPT university, Ahmedabad and Indubhai Parekh School of Architecture, since 2015.
