Shikha Doogar co-founded r+d studio, r + d studio a Delhi NCR and Dubai based Design collaboration dedicated to innovation in architectural practice through exploration of process and production.
A practicing architect for 18 years, Shikha spent over 4 years of her career as a Project Architect and Senior Job Captain at Gehry Partners, where she worked alongside world renowned architect Frank Gehry & his design partner Craig Webb in developing a process and formal language of architecture through rationalization of complex design ideas.
During her tenure there, Shikha lead and co-teamed many noteworthy projects that range from Brooklyn Atlantic Yards proposal and Lehi Master plan involving over 8 million sq ft of built space to designing a play space for children at Battery Park. Her project New World Symphony, Miami, an experimental music venue, on which she played a key role, and has received rave reviews from world's leading architects and critics.
Prior to Gehry Partners, Shikha worked as the lead designer on many of the residential towers that dot the Manhattan skyline, while working at Costas Kondylis and partners. Shikha set up her practice r+d studio in 2008 in India. She also holds a visiting faculty position at Sushant School of Art & Architecture, Gurgaon, India.
