Jenga Inspired Concrete And Brass Bar by Faridabad Based Design Studio

A light grey concrete structure forms the counter’s base, which leaves more focus to be drawn to the bar framework, which appears suspended in mid-air as a geometric art installation.

The composition is made up of seemingly random squares but cleverly composed, leaving the frame feeling light and straightforward.

While the front-view appears minimal, the counter’s sides reveal the frame’s intricacy with the interplay of the solids and voids on the counter since neither overpowers the other, resulting in a harmonious balance of form.

The colours used are complementary: the golden sheen of brass accents and the matte finish of the concrete frame gives the piece an understated appeal.

In 2015, Mangrove Collective began as a ‘collaborative design’ studio. Over time, the firm has grown into a ‘design and make workshop’ dedicated to crafting customised furniture, millwork and projects. The team of 60 highly-skilled craftsmen and designers function collaboratively and as equals. The firm has also bagged several design awards.
