Housed within a renovated warehouse, once abandoned, in the former industrial area, the showroom boasts cascading, rainbow-coloured staircases that pay homage to these architectural wonders.

Strategically located at Alserkal Avenue, a vibrant cultural hub known for its support of artistic endeavors, Jaipur Rugs’ flagship store offers a unique and immersive shopping experience to residents and visitors alike. Conceptualized and designed by the highly acclaimed and multi-award-winning interior designer Pallavi Dean, the space provides a glimpse into the historic and picturesque architecture of Jaipur. The store serves as a stunning visual tribute to the traditional stepwells of Rajasthan, known as baoris.

Housed within a renovated warehouse, once abandoned, in the former industrial area, the showroom boasts cascading, rainbow-coloured staircases that pay homage to these architectural wonders. Roar’s design draws inspiration from Jaipur, the city where the rug manufacturer originates from, and specifically from its renowned stepwells. These stepwells are characterized by their staggered terraces and mesmerizing sets of stairs that descend into the depths of the reservoirs.

To further evoke the spirit of stepwells, the showroom incorporates arches, a characteristic feature, which serves as doorways and alcoves adorned with decorative rugs.

Within Dean’s design, the staircases create a striking visual impact as they adorn three of the walls, spanning the double-height space. Not only do they enhance the aesthetic appeal, but they also connect the ground-floor browsing area with the offices and sales suites located on the mezzanine level. The colours showcased in these rug displays are echoed in the carpet on the stairs, which exhibits a captivating jewel-toned rainbow gradient, transitioning from indigo to ruby red.

Nestled between the staircases on the ground floor are two immersive rooms, namely the Sapphire and Emerald rooms. These spaces envelop visitors with floor-to-ceiling rugs specially crafted by Jaipur Rugs' skilled weavers as part of the brand’s Manchaha initiative. Adjacent to these rooms, along the fourth wall, lies the showroom’s rug library, designed with custom-made sliding panels that offer visitors the freedom to browse at their leisure.

The walls and floors boast a warm-grey micro-cement and textured paint finish, providing a neutral backdrop that allows the vibrant features to shine. Metallic rose gold accents can be found in doorframes, cabinetry, and other details, serving as another nod to the Pink City.

The expansion into the Middle East market signifies Jaipur Rugs’ commitment to catering to a diverse customer base seeking high-quality, luxurious rugs that reflect the region's rich cultural heritage. This strategic move underscores the brand’s dedication to innovation, growth and the dissemination of traditional Indian craftsmanship in international markets.
