A Goa Home with Rooms Inspired by Alcoholic Drinks, Intoxicating Design |

The ‘European Dreams’ project is a beautiful example of Kirti Dodeja's creativity. It combines the elegance of European living with the peaceful charm of Goa. This special villa, built by Isprava, reflects Kirti’s memories from Europe. It captures the feelings of different alcoholic drinks and brings them to life in carefully designed rooms. Kirti provided additional insights about the project to SURFACES REPORTER (SR).

Living/Dining/Foyer

The main area of the villa feels like enjoying a glass of chilled white wine. It's crisp, refreshing, and elegant, just like a good white wine.

The design has clean lines and subtle details that give it a timeless charm, like Chanel No. 5 perfume. Splashes of red, inspired by bold nail polish, add excitement and complete the look, making the atmosphere captivating.

Ground Floor Master Bedroom

The master bedroom on the ground floor feels luxurious, like sipping on elegant champagne or prosecco.

Luxurious textures, soft fabrics, and beautiful details make it feel just like enjoying the finest bubbly wine, creating a space that's incredibly comfortable and grand.

Powder Room

In the Powder Room, you'll feel like you're sipping wine at the Royal Opera Theatre Shows in Amsterdam.

It's lxuurious and timeless, with gilded mirrors and detailed decorations that take you back to an era when everything was about artistry. And there's even a hint of wine smell to make the experience even more special.

First Floor Bedrooms

The bedrooms on the first floor give off the warmth and charm of aged scotch and whiskey.

With dark wood, soft textures, and classic designs, it's a place where you can relax and think deeply, just like when you enjoy aged spirits.

First Floor Master Bedroom

The second main bedroom upstairs is all about being unique and not following the crowd. It shows a rebellious attitude with its bold and different design choices.

With doors that have an unusual shape and other daring design elements, it's clear the designer isn't afraid to try new things. This makes the room stand out as truly one-of-a-kind.

About the Architect

Kirti Dodeja is an Indian multi-disciplinary designer with experience in Interior Design, Branding and Product Design. “Design is simply the solution to a problem. I like performing brief psychoanalysis before beginning a project. I enjoy decoding what a client wants through questionnaires, conversations and interviews. It could be a residential project, an office space, a restaurant, or any unlabelled/ labelled space. With her undergraduate degree in design from Sir JJ School of Art, Mumbai, she is well adept at the sensibilities of the art world. Her sharp eye for details in design can be credited to her time studying, travelling and working in Europe, especially in Milan- Italy, where she did her Master's in Interior and Living Design. Europe was the perfect place for her to evolve as a design professional. She was also awarded a scholarship in an international design competition hosted by Domus Academy in Milan.
